Historical Marker & Scandinavian Flag Court
A beautiful Historical Marker commemorating the town's founders provided by the Alabama Dept. of Tourism & Travel has been placed in the center of a Scandinavian Flag Court. This new landmark is located on Highway 31 in the center of town across the street from the Thorsby Fire Department.

Historical Preservation Committee Meetings
The regularly scheduled committee meetings are held every 4th Monday night at the Thorsby United Methodist Church, 6:30 pm. The meetings are open to anyone who would like to visit.
2012 Thorsby Swedish Fest "Year Of The Viking"
Our annual heritage festival will be Oct. 13, 2012 at the Richard H. Wood Memorial Park in Thorsby. This year's festival will be more Swedish than ever with the addition of special guests from Sweden, and Swedish food! There will also be the usual arts and crafts booths, car show, beauty pageant, parade, and other entertainment. Mark your calendar now so you won't miss it! www.thorsbyswedishfestival.com
